Multimode Fiber with Graded Refractive Index of 125 um. Because the core diameter and numerical aperture of 62.5/125 um optical fiber are large, it has strong light collecting ability and bending resistance. Especially before the mid-1990s, the speed of local area network is low, and the bandwidth requirement of optical fiber is not high. Therefore, this kind of optical fiber has been widely used, and has become the mid-1980s to the 1990s. In the mid-decade, the main products in the data communication optical fiber market in most countries. 62.5/125-micron gradient index multimode fiber is the first multimode fiber adopted by the United States as a multi-industry standard, such as at&t indoor wiring system standard; ETA local area network standard; ANSI 100_mb/s token network standard; IBM token ring standard and so on. Usually, the bandwidth of 62.5/125 um gradient index multimode fiber is 200-400 mhz.km. At the rate of 1 gb/s, 850 nm wavelength can transmit 300 m and 1 300 nm wavelength can transmit 550m. Full injection power (OFL) bandwidth is 200/500_MHz.km@850/1300_nm.
